SHANGHAI, Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN) today announced that the company's Spicer® Rui Ma™ brand of drivetrain solutions recently won the top award in the specific case category at the Xuhui District Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards 2015.

The Spicer Rui Ma brand was recognized for providing the lowest total ownership costs for equipment buyers, helping suppliers improve quality and enhance capabilities, promoting healthy competition in the market, nurturing local engineering talent, and supporting environmentally friendly business practices.

Established to encourage corporate social responsibility and make it a standard practice, the awards were presented in three categories: company, personal, and specific case, which honors both the company and the individuals who work there.  Dana was one of only 25 enterprises and individuals honored for demonstrating exemplary corporate social responsibility.

"We extend our deepest thanks to the leadership of the Xuhui District for recognizing Dana with this award.  It speaks to our core value of innovation and our commitment to creating global solutions with local expertise," said Aziz Aghili, president, Dana Off-highway Driveline Technologies.  "It reflects our deep understanding of Chinese markets and culture, and our ability to harmonize the beliefs we've held for more than a century with the principles exhibited by China's most respected enterprises."

An urban center in Shanghai, the Xuhui District is one of the city's most developed localities. It ranks first in fiscal revenue among the nine downtown districts, and more than 28,000 enterprises are registered in the Xuhui District, including approximately 4,300 foreign companies.

This award is the latest in a series of honors earned by Dana's operations in China. Recently, Dana's off-highway plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, was classified as a Green Company by the Wuxi New District Environmental Protection Bureau in its annual evaluation.
