Harro Burmann - President of South American Operations
Harro Burmann is president of Dana’s South American operations. In this role, he has responsibility for unifying, advancing, and profitably growing Dana’s operations in South America, as well as coordinating Dana’s activities throughout the region. Burmann began his Dana career in 1989 as a mechanical engineer trainee in the Engineering Department of the Albarus forging facility in Gravatai, Brazil. He subsequently held leadership positions in product groups serving each of our primary markets (automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway). Most recently, Burmann served as vice president of Integrated Supply Chain for Dana’s Commercial Vehicle business with additional leadership responsibility for our North and South American Off-Highway operations. Burmann earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UFRGS – Federal University in Porto Alegre, Brazil, as well as a post-graduate degree in Quality Engineering at PUC Catholic University in Porto Alegre.
