Dana Corporation to Highlight its Spicer® CTIS Central Tire Inflation System at the AUSA Annual Meeting & Exposition

WASHINGTON, D.C. – October 9, 2006 – Dana Corporation will showcase its Spicer® CTIS central tire inflation system, designed to provide advanced mobility for military vehicles, during the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C., Oct. 9-11, 2006, in booth number 749.

Dana’s Spicer CTIS system works by lowering a vehicle’s tire pressure, which increases the tire footprint for increased traction in sand, soft soils, or steep grades. Benefits of the system include:

 Enhanced mobility – The right pressure for the right terrain at the touch of a button.
 Reliable performance – Isolated, non-pressurized seals and hoses eliminate tire leak-down.
 Less maintenance – Wheel valves are sealed to eliminate contamination.
 Drivetrain integration – Engine, transmission, ABS, and axle differential locks can be integrated via data link.
 Safety – Automatic run-flat capability.

"Dana is the world’s leading supplier of advanced mobility systems," said Dana’s Heavy Vehicle Products President Nick Stanage. "The AUSA Exposition provides a stage to showcase this advanced system as well as Dana’s other products and systems designed to meet the diverse needs of military customers."

In addition to Spicer CTIS, Dana offers a host of drivetrain products that serve the needs of the world’s military vehicle market. These products include Spicer steer, drive, and trailer axles and Spicer driveshafts. Other tire management products Dana supplies to the commercial vehicle industry include Spicer TIMSTM tire inflation management system and SmartWave® TPMS tire pressure monitoring system.

Dana will also have on display an original painting by world-renowned armed forces artist and American Spirit Award-winner Rick Herter, titled “Mutual Support.” The painting highlights how Dana’s products support the equipment that supports American forces all over the world.
