This year’s conference theme is “Growth Opportunities: The Next 10 Years.” Among the featured speakers are Don Rembowski, Dana’s vice president of Innovation, and Santiago Salazar, senior director, global product planning, for Dana’s commercial-vehicle business. They will discuss how global megatrends will shape the commercial vehicle market in India over the next ten years

Conference topics will include diesel engine technology, alternative fuels, hybridization, transmissions, drivelines, safety, logistics, fleet management, and manufacturing.  More than 250 key influencers in the Indian commercial-vehicle market are expected to attend.

“As a driveline technology leader, we continually assess global megatrends and their implications on our local markets,” said Mark Wallace, president of Dana On-Highway Driveline Technologies. “This research has led Dana to increase our footprint in India, which was reflected in our acquisition last year of commercial vehicle axle business assets of Axles India, Ltd.”

Dana’s manufacturing presence in India dates to 1965 and today includes the manufacture of axles, driveshafts, and sealing products for the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway vehicle markets.   Dana continues significant investment in its manufacturing and engineering footprint in India, with a new 125,000 square-foot technical center scheduled to open in Pune later this year.
