Mar 18, 2004

Paris, TN -- Mar 18, 2004 -- Four Hose & Tubing Products facilities in Paris, Tennessee have achieved the ISO/TS-16949:2002 certification.  The facilities audited were Rubber Extrusion, Plastic Extrusion, and Bell Avenue for manufacturing and the Rubber Products Design Center as a remote site for support.

ISO/TS-16949 is an International Standards Organization (ISO) technical specification. The International Automotive Task Force (IATF), which consists of an international group of vehicle manufacturers and national trade associations, wrote ISO/TS 16949:2002 in conjunction with the ISO.  This specification aligns existing American (QS-9000), German (VDA6.1), French (EAQF) and Italian (AVSQ) automotive quality systems standards within the global automotive industry. Additionally, there are customer specific requirements that are required by individual vehicle manufacturers. In short, it defines quality requirements for the entire automotive supply chain.

“Achieving ISO/TS-16949 certification was a total team effort,” according to Andy Doll, plant manager for the Paris facilities for the Hose & Tubing Products Division. “It’s reinforces our credibility as a supplier, and it will help us implement the business processes necessary to sustain continuous improvement in everything we do.”

Dana’s Hose & Tubing plants in Paris are part of Dana’s Engine and Fluid Management Group. The Hose & Tubing Products Division is a leading developer and manufacturer of rubber and plastic fluid-transfer products for the global automotive industry.
