Dana's Off-Highway Systems To Exhibit At Bauma 2004 As Company Celebrates Centennial

München, Germany -- Mar 29, 2004 -- Dana Corporation’s (NYSE:DCN) Off-Highway Systems will exhibit at Bauma 2004 in München, Germany, March 29 to April 4.  Located at Hall A4, Stand no. 316, the group will display its capabilities in axles, transmissions, driveshafts, electronic controls, and systems. 

In addition, the group will commemorate Dana’s 100th anniversary.  The Dana history dates back to 1904, when Clarence Spicer set up his universal joint manufacturing company in the corner of the Potter Printing Press Company.  Since then, Dana Corporation has grown from a six-person, one-room enterprise into a seamless global network that employs 45,000 people in 30 countries.

Dana will exhibit the following Spicer® products:

Spicer Powershuttle Transmission Model PSR08 for compact vehicles including backhoe loaders, telescopic handlers, and tow tractors of up to 120-horsepower as part of a system including the model 123 rear axle, AG85/105 front axle, and Spicer SPL55 Service Free driveshafts for backhoe loaders.

Spicer TE15, TE27 and TE32 transmissions for material handling equipment.

Drivetrain system for front-end loaders with a 16-24k lift capacity. It is designed with two Hercules Series axles, HSE 2+3 transmission, and Spicer wing style 7C driveshafts.

Drivetrain system for front-end loaders with a 5.5k-lift capacity.  It is composed of Model 111 axles with a Model 315 gearbox, and a 1310 series driveshaft. 

Heavy-duty drivetrain for teleboom handlers with a lift capacity of 9-10k, composed of Model 223 axles with a VDT12000HD transmission and Spicer® 1410 series driveshafts.

Model 211 and 221 axles, Model 603 gearbox and Spicer 1410 series driveshaft for teleboom handlers with a lift capacity of 5k.

Drivetrain system for wheel excavators with a 15k-lift capacity.  It is designed with 162HD and 262HD axles, an HSE07 transmission, and an SPL55 Series driveshaft.

53R300 wheel ends and high-capacity, liquid-cooled brakes for mining.

A complete display of wing, round and half-round driveshafts and end-fittings.

An area featuring parts, service and distribution capabilities.
