Dana's Off-Highway Systems Offers Spicer® PSR08 Powershuttle Transmission
Mar 29, 2004
München, Germany -- Mar 29, 2004 -- Dana Corporation’s (NYSE: DCN) Off-Highway Systems is offering a Spicer® Powershuttle Transmission Model PSR08, which complements the established Spicer powershift product range. Designed for compact vehicles including backhoe loaders, telescopic handlers, and tow tractors of up to 120-horsepower, the PSR08 will be on display as part of a system including the model 123 rear axle, AG85/105 front axle, and Spicer SPL55 Service Free driveshafts for backhoe loaders.
The PSR08 transmission is designed to meet the current and future performance needs of compact vehicles. Improved shift quality and driver comfort are provided by pre-filled forward and reverse clutches as well as a specially designed lubrication system that minimizes clutch drag to make shifting in the speed ranges easier and more efficient.
A 12-inch torque converter with a freewheel provides for lower engine speeds while a spring-applied, oil-immersed park brake improves brake life. All the transmission’s helical gears have been designed to ensure reduced noise levels. The PSR08 is available in two- or four-wheel drive designs to fit customer design and packaging needs.
