TOLEDO, Ohio, July 16, /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Corporation (NYSE: DCN)
announced today that it will begin manufacturing light axle components at its

The move will be made in connection with Dana's sale of its transmission
business to a unit of its affiliate, Spicer, S.A. de C.V. Dana's Spicer(R)
transmissions are currently manufactured at the Jonesboro plant. The
Jonesboro facility will begin producing axle components during a transition
period while the transmission production is transferred to Spicer, S.A.

"Dana people at Jonesboro have demonstrated their commitment to continuous
improvement in training, quality, and productivity and have shown a
willingness to meet all outside challenges while striving to achieve
excellence," said Bill Hoffmann, vice president and general manager of Dana's
Spicer Axle Division. "Our continued sales growth and the growing demand for
our axle products, coupled with the facility's size and location, made it an
easy decision to convert the Jonesboro operation."
