Dana's Victor Reinz Wins Ford Q-1 Recognition for Valve Seals

    AVILLA, Ind., Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Victor Reinz Valve Seals, LLC, a
joint venture between the Dana Corporation (NYSE: DCN) and Kitco Inc., has
received Ford Motor Co.'s Q-1 Award for quality and product support.  The Q-1
award "recognizes supplier facilities and organizations that have achieved a
sustained level of excellence in customer satisfaction, while meeting systems
and results requirements in quality, engineering, delivery, and materials
management."
    Victor Reinz valve seals are designed and manufactured at the
corporation's Avilla, Ind. facility.  Avilla supplies Ford's Lima, Ohio,
Romeo, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario engine plants, as well as many other
customers.  Victor Reinz Valve Seals makes and markets the valve seals
developed at Avilla, as well as those originally developed and produced by
Dana's Perfect Circle.
    Victor Reinz Valve Seals manufactures bonded, integral, and ring and
banded types of automotive and heavy duty valve seals, and Teflon(R) seals for
racing and performance vehicles.  They make and market more than 90 million
valve seals annually.

plant was also commended for zero recalls or other field actions in the past
