Dana Corporation Announces Filing of CEO, CFO Statements With SEC

    TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dana Corporation
(NYSE: DCN) announced today that it has filed its Form 10-Q for the quarter
ended June 30, 2002 with the SEC.  The report contains certifications from
Dana Chairman and CEO Joe Magliochetti and Chief Financial Officer Bob Richter
relating to information in the 10-Q, in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
of 2002.

    Mr. Magliochetti and Mr. Richter have also submitted to the SEC the sworn
statements required under SEC Order No. 4-460 relating to the company's Annual
Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2001, and all reports
on Form 10-Q, reports on Form 8-K, and definitive proxy materials filed with
the SEC since the 2001 10-K filing.
