Productivity Improvement of Dana's GemStone Gasket Operation Recognized by Honda

    DANVILLE, Ky., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The GemStone Gasket Company, a
joint venture between Dana Corporation's (NYSE: DCN) Victor Reinz division and
the Ishino Gasket Manufacturing Company of Japan, was awarded Honda's 1998
Productivity Improvement Award.  The award was presented by Honda to recognize
GemStone Gasket Company for "continuous dedication toward the achievement of
productivity improvement."
    GemStone Gasket Company was formed in 1989 to supply Japanese automakers
with complete sealing systems for their vehicles produced in North American
produced vehicles.  GemStone supplies Honda with cylinder head, intake, and
exhaust manifold gaskets, as well as and other secondary sealing products used
on Honda platforms including both the Honda Civic and Accord.
