TOLEDO, Ohio, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Corporation (NYSE: DCN) today
announced that it has expanded its relationship with Japanese engine parts
maker Nippon Piston Ring Co., Ltd. (NPR), to support growing engine components
business among Japanese automotive manufacturers with operations in North
America.
According to Tim Seffrin, Vice President - International, of Dana's
Perfect Circle Sealed Power Division, the two companies have entered into a
mutual technical assistance and marketing agreement. The agreement will
effectively support the engine cylinder liner needs of a number of Japanese
vehicle manufacturers, such as Toyota, Isuzu, Nissan, and Mazda, which have
operations in North America, Seffrin said.
"The need for engine cylinder liners among Japanese manufacturers with
operations in the United States continues to grow," Seffrin said. "Dana's
centrifugally-cast cylinder liner technology and NPR's machining expertise
combine to create a leading-edge engine components package that provides the
quality that vehicle manufacturers demand of today's engines."
