CHICAGO, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Michael J. Burns, Chairman and

"The pace of technological advancement continues to accelerate within this
sector," Mr. Burns said. "Across the supply industry, we're seeing innovation
-- in terms of both process and product -- evolve at an impressive rate.
This, in turn, is enabling us to deliver enhanced value to our customers.
"On balance, I believe the commercial vehicle market is currently
positioned as well or better than any other sector of the vehicular industry,"
he added. "With nearly $2 billion in annual commercial vehicle sales, Dana is
a major player in these markets. And we couldn't be happier about it -- or
more committed to this industry."
Mr. Burns also emphasized the importance of suppliers collaborating to
deliver better solutions, and enhanced value, to their customers. "Our
Roadranger(R) marketing agreement with Eaton is a great example of the power
of partnership," he said. "By leveraging our combined strengths, we are
turning 'two-plus-two' into something far greater than four."
Mr. Burns' remarks were delivered at the Dana Technology Theater, which
will play host to a series of panels this week focusing on key issues
pertaining to both the on- and off-road heavy-duty markets. The inaugural
Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress is designed to bring together
engineering professionals, suppliers, and manufacturers in the truck and bus
industry and those in off-highway and agricultural machinery manufacturing.

manufacture of value-added products and systems for automotive, commercial,
