Dana Corporation to Showcase Innovations at Frankfurt Motor Show

    TOLEDO, Ohio, Sept. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dana Corporation
(NYSE: DCN) will showcase its flexibility, innovation, and product integration
capabilities during the 60th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt,
Germany, Sept. 9-21, 2003.
    The Dana exhibit will be segmented into five separate "kiosks"
highlighting the five key building blocks of a vehicle where Dana has a
presence -- namely architecture (structures), chassis, driveline, engine, and
transmission.  Each of these segments, or building blocks, will showcase
current Dana products or future technologies in the form of components,
modules, and X-by-wire applications, while also highlighting related materials
and process innovations.
    "These displays will be representative of Dana's total capability package
and are intended to demonstrate the company's ability to provide everything
from components to complete integrated systems, depending on the customers'
needs," said Joe Magliochetti, Dana chairman and CEO.  "We view this event as
a platform for building further recognition of Dana and reaffirming our
commitment to Europe's automotive market and customers."
    Dana will host a press conference at 10 a.m. CET Wednesday, Sept. 10, at
its stand, located in Hall 6.1, Booth 30.  As part of the event, the company
will review:
     - Plans to construct a new manufacturing facility;
     - New technologies designed as cost-effective solutions for global
       vehicle manufacturers;
     - Expansion to its global engineering network and commitment to the
       global marketplace; and
     - New contracts to supply several upcoming vehicles.

    Dana executives will be available to speak with the media during the press
conference and in planned one-on-one interviews.  Among those in attendance
will be:
     - Charles F. Heine, president, technology development and diversified
       products.  Mr. Heine serves as Dana's chief technology officer;
     - Karl Nitsch, president, Dana Europe.  Mr. Nitsch is responsible for
       Dana's corporate support functions in Europe; and
     - Heinz-Ubbo Eilks, executive vice president of business development and
       technology for Dana's Engine and Fluid Management Group.  Among the
       responsibilities of Mr. Eilks, he heads up Dana's fuel-cell-component
       development activities.

    IAA, sponsored by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA),
will begin Sept. 9, with press and trade days running through Sept. 12.  The
show will open to the public beginning Sept. 13 and will conclude on Sept. 21.
    With more than 1,000 exhibitors from some 40 countries presenting the
latest highlights and trends in the industry, this auto show is the largest in
the industry.  It features the latest advancements in passenger cars,
motorcycles, minibuses, and specialty vehicles; telematics, tuning equipment,
parts and accessories; as well as all other aspects of automotive-related
services.  The anticipated attendance is more than 850,000 visitors, including
nearly 10,000 members of the media from all aspects of the automotive
industry.
