TOLEDO, Ohio, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dana Corporation

Dana will supply Spicer Life Series(R) 22 front main driveshafts for the
new Aviator. Its Louisville, Ky., Customer Focus Center will assemble the
driveshafts and ship them to Ford's Saint Louis Assembly Plant.
Continuing a trend of tighter driveshaft balance specifications, Dana will
balance these cardan/constant-velocity combination shafts to .20 oz. in.,
resulting in a smoother running driveshaft, which leads to a noticeable NVH
(noise, vibration, and harshness) reduction.
Dana will also supply independent front axle assemblies, which offer a
wide range of improvements, including a light-weight, all-aluminum carrier and
tube for improved fuel efficiency, reduced size for improved vehicle packaging
constraints, and added stiffness for improved NVH characteristics.
The axle assemblies will be produced at Dana's Columbia, Mo., Traction
Technologies axle facility.
"This opportunity reinforces Dana's commitment to supplying high-quality,
advanced products at a competitive price," said Bill Carroll, president of
Dana's Automotive Systems Group. "To be chosen as a supplier for a Lincoln
vehicle illustrates Dana's ability for delivering products that enhance the
consumer's driving experience."
