Capabilities include the ability for suppliers to globally access their Parts Per Million (PPM's), Dana's Non Conformance Material Reports (NCMR), Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR's), improvement plans and other quality measurements on a real time basis. Another innovative feature to the new Supplier Management System is the ability to link between the performance metrics, problem summary, action and improvements plans, and all associated pictures and documentation allowing for significant reductions in response and resolution time pertaining to quality issues. "This initiative will aid us in detecting, resolving, and preventing quality issues before our products go to market, which will benefit our customers by reducing the potential for service and warranty issues," said Ismael Melgar, president of the Traction Technologies Group.
