Dana Expands Global Sealing Capabilities

    TOLEDO, Ohio, March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Corporation (NYSE: DCN) has
enhanced its position as a leading global provider of engine sealing systems
by reaching a collaboration agreement with Japanese sealing supplier Nippon
Reinz.  Nippon Reinz is owned by Dana and Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.

    The agreement, which calls for Nippon Reinz to provide customers with a
total sealing package under the Victor Reinz-Japan marketing identity,
represents a strategic addition to Dana's global sealing system capabilities.
    "Victor Reinz-Japan joins Victor Reinz-Europe, Victor Reinz-North America,
and Victor Reinz-South America as a global presence in sealing products and
systems so that our customers can take advantage of consistent, global design,
engineering, and manufacturing, wherever they choose to develop or build
engines," said Heinz Eilks, vice president of sealing products for Dana's
Engine Systems Group.
    The two companies have agreed to market as one entity, when customer needs
require it.  They will share technology, as well as production, engineering,
and marketing resources.
    Dana Engine Systems Group provides components, modules, and complete
systems solutions to engine builders worldwide.  The group's product lines
include Victor Reinz(R) gaskets and sealing products, Perfect Circle(R) piston
rings and engine parts, Glacier(R) Vandervell engine bearings, and powertrain
components manufactured by Dana's Plumley Division.
