Dana Corporation's Plumley Division Opens State-of-the-Art Thermoplastic Sealing Center

    PARIS, Tenn., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Corporation's (NYSE: DCN)
Plumley Division has opened a new 50,000-square-foot Thermoplastic Sealing
Center in Paris, Tenn.  The state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to the
injection and blow molding of engineered thermoplastics for use in cam cover
modules, air induction systems, plastic carrier-style gaskets, and a variety
of plastic powertrain components.
    Supported by an advanced design center, the new Thermoplastic Sealing
Center focuses on thermoplastics, which can be easily recycled.  The facility
complements Plumley's Composite Sealing Center, established in 1997, which is
dedicated to thermoset plastics.
    "The established Composite Sealing Center, along with a new Thermoplastic
Sealing Center, demonstrates Plumley's continued commitment to the design and
production of under-the-hood plastics," said Tom Dalton, vice president and
general manager of the Plumley Division.

Division is able to offer our global customers two exceptional alternatives
that offer lower cost, lighter weight, and greater design flexibility than

    Anticipating 100 employees by fall of 2000, the new center made its first
production shipment this past spring.  This state-of-the-art facility will
manufacture more than 100 part numbers during the 2000 calendar year.
    An open house and dedication ceremony is being planned to introduce the
facility to the Paris community.
