The move is the final step of a synergy plan encompassing the
consolidation of several distribution points and the international sales
management structure. As part of this consolidation, Dana World Trade plans
to close its Maumee, Ohio, office by the end of September, relocating its
division headquarters and consolidated sales, accounting, and marketing
functions to the Miami location.
Paula Schaff, vice president and general manager of Dana World Trade, said
the synergies of the merger will help the group achieve financial targets
while providing customers with a comprehensive, single-source point of
contact.
"The synergies accomplished by merging these international business units
will enable Dana World Trade to meet important cost savings targets," Ms.
Schaff said. "Ultimately, this consolidation will also help Dana to better
support its customers by providing a 'one-stop shop' of quality products and
well-known brands supported by some of the most dedicated and respected people
in the international markets we serve."
Ms. Schaff added that Dana people not relocating to Miami will be assisted
in finding other positions within the company locally.

responsible for U.S. aftermarket exports and global trade of all Dana
products. Its people are dedicated to the international sales and marketing of
these products to the global vehicular, driveline, and fluid power markets.
