Dana Begins Production of Rear Driving Modules for GM Holden Australian-Built Passenger Cars

    TOLEDO, Ohio, Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Dana Corporation (NYSE: DCN) today
announced that its subsidiary Dana Australia Pty. Ltd. has begun production of
rear drive modules for Holden Limited, a General Motors Corporation
subsidiary, for that company's Commodore passenger car.  Sales of the modules,
which are manufactured in Australia, will exceed $100 million annually.

    The production of the rear drive modules expands Dana's most ambitious
modular program to date in the Asia-Pacific region.  Dana already provides
Holden with the front corner modules for the Commodore.

    Dana established its Australian presence in 1970, growing to more than
30 facilities in Australia and New Zealand that produce components and systems
for vehicular and off-highway manufacturers and their related aftermarkets.
    Dana's global modular activity is wide ranging, involving 10 facilities in
seven nations.  This activity includes current projects with major original
equipment manufacturers such as DaimlerChrysler AG, Fiat Auto Argentina S.A.,
Ford Motor Company, GM, Mack Trucks Inc., Toyota Motor Corporation, Volkswagen
AG, and A.B. Volvo.  These projects range from corner modules to the world's
first Rolling Chassis(TM) module for a light truck, which Dana supplies to
Chrysler for its Dodge Dakota pickup trucks assembled in Brazil.
