Dana Strengthens Vocational Offerings with Three New Tridem Drives

KALAMAZOO, Mich., August 16, 2005 - Dana Corporation’s Commercial Vehicle Systems group has introduced three new Dana® Spicer® tridem drive axles to strengthen its growing lineup of heavy-duty components for vocational applications. The new tridem family is designed to significantly reduce life cycle costs and improve reliability while giving customers a complete range of application-specific axle options.

The new Dana Spicer tridem axle line includes:

• The T69-170HP Series, rated up to 200,000 pounds GCWR, is ideally suited for various vocational applications including construction, heavy haul, and logging.

• The T78-190P Series, rated up to 240,000 pounds GCWR, is designed to tackle tough oil field and mining applications that often require superior traction and a high gross weight capacity.

• The T78-590P Series, rated up to 240,000 pounds GCWR, is suited for those vocational applications requiring high gross weight capacities in combination with high numerical ratio availability.

The three models, all of which carry a 3-year/350,000-mile warranty for most vocational applications, are now available for production orders on all makes and models of trucks and tractors manufactured in North America.
