Clevite Engine Parts Crowns Engine Builders of the Year

ANN ARBOR, Michigan, December 15, 2006 — Clevite Engine Parts recently announced the Clevite Engine Builders of the Year for the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup, NASCAR Busch Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Shane Parsnow, engine builder for Hendrick Motorsports and the No. 48 car of Jimmie Johnson received the coveted Engine Builder of the Year Award for the NEXTEL Cup Series. Parsnow’s award was presented at the yearly Myers Brothers Award Luncheon on November 30 in New York. Parsnow was presented with a cash prize of $77,000 and a stately trophy. This is Parsnow’s first Clevite Engine Builder of the Year honor.

Lanny Barnes of Richard Childress Racing and builder for the No. 21 car of Kevin Harvick claimed his third Clevite Engine Builder of the Year title for the Busch Series. Barnes was presented with a cash prize of $10,000 and a trophy during the Busch Series Awards Banquet on December 8 in Orlando.
