Dana to Display Telematics Offerings at Wireless Fleet Conference

Feb 19, 2007

KALAMAZOO, Mich., Feb. 19, 2007 – Dana Corporation’s Commercial Vehicle Systems group will showcase SmartWave™ TPMS tire pressure monitoring system at the Wireless Fleet 2007 conference in Miami, Feb. 20-21. The event will focus on the implementation and use of wireless and mobile technology in commercial fleets.

SmartWave TPMS, resulting from the marketing agreement between Dana and SmarTire Systems Inc., is a real-time electronic system that measures air pressure and temperature within tires, and wirelessly sends that data to a receiver mounted on the vehicle. The data may also be used to inform fleet managers of tire-related issues by linking through a telematics system. SmartWave TPMS provides a platform for future sensing capabilities that will give fleet managers the ability to receive real-time, off-vehicle information from a host of additional vehicle functions. SmartWave TPMS is the latest product in Dana’s extensive portfolio of tire pressure management solutions.
